PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Dr. Gabriel E. Sanoja
Gabo will be starting as an Assistant Professor at The McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at The University of Texas at Austin in August 2020. He obtained his B.S. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering (2012) from M.I.T., and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (2016). He has experience as a post-doctoral scholar in the University of California, Santa Barbara (2017) as well as in ESPCI ParisTech (2017-current). Gabo is primarily interested in using mechanochemistry to develop a comprehensive multi-scale picture of fracture in soft, tough, and dynamic materials (e.g., hydrogels and elastomers).
